Move-out cleaning and related services in Koreatown

Book a move-out clean once the apartment is empty. If furniture or belongings are still in place, book a deep clean instead.

🧹 Before you book

Made for an empty home

A move-in or move-out clean follows the full deep-cleaning checklist, with extra focus on empty closets and floor detailing through the whole home. It works only when the property is completely empty of furniture and personal belongings.

🧹 Before the visit

Time it around your move

Book after the movers, before you return the keys.

Book after the movers

Schedule the clean once furniture, boxes and belongings are gone and before new furniture arrives. Keep the water and electricity on.

Add the interiors you need

Drawer interiors are not part of a move-out clean and need an add-on, as do oven, fridge and cabinet interiors. Empty anything you book.

Plan building access

Share the gate, buzzer, lockbox or key handoff, the floor and elevator access, any building move hours, and where the cleaner can park.

Moving out of a Koreatown rental

Many Koreatown apartment buildings date back to the 1920s and 1930s. In the City of Los Angeles, LAHD says the Rent Stabilization Ordinance generally covers rental properties built on or before October 1, 1978, and it regulates rent increases and evictions. Deposit rules come from state law, so check your building's status with LAHD if you have questions about your tenancy.

California Civil Code 1950.5 limits cleaning deductions from a security deposit to what it takes to return the unit to the cleanliness it had when your tenancy began, for tenancies that started after January 1, 2003. You can also ask your landlord for an initial inspection no earlier than two weeks before you move out, which gives you time to fix what it lists. Book the clean after that inspection so it can cover anything noted.

Since April 1, 2025, a California landlord who deducts for cleaning or repairs must photograph the unit after you hand it back and again once that work is finished, then send the photos with the itemized statement. Your own dated photos, taken after the cleaner leaves, give you a record of the unit's condition too.

In a walk-up or an older building with one elevator, moving day takes coordination. Ask your manager about move hours and elevator use, and plan where the van and the cleaner's car can park, keeping posted street-cleaning rules in mind. The clean needs an empty home with closets cleared and water and electricity on, or the service defaults to a deep clean.

Before your Koreatown move-out clean

Book once the movers finish and before you return the keys or new furniture arrives.

The visit follows the full deep-cleaning checklist, in an empty home.

The empty-home requirement

Property must be completely empty of all furniture and personal belongings

Before the visit

  • Remove furniture, boxes, personal belongings and loose rubbish. Empty closets.
  • Make sure water and electricity are on.
  • Share building entry, buzzer or lockbox details, elevator access and where the cleaner can park.
  • If you booked oven, fridge, cabinet or drawer interiors, empty them first.

If furniture or belongings are present, the service will default to a Deep Cleaning instead. Drawer interiors are not included in move-out cleaning and must be added on separately.

Koreatown move-out cleaning questions

Book it for after the movers finish and before you return the keys, and check your building's move hours and elevator rules first. If you asked your landlord for an initial inspection, schedule the clean after it so you can include anything it noted.
