Moving out of a Century City condo or apartment
Century City is part of the City of Los Angeles. City Planning's West Los Angeles Community Plan describes its core as a high-rise regional center of about 99 acres between Santa Monica Boulevard, Century Park West, Beverly Hills and Olympic Boulevard, and places its multi-family homes under the Century City South Specific Plan.
Most homes here are in condo and apartment towers, so moving day runs through the building. Ask the HOA or manager whether you need to book a service elevator, a loading area or a move time, and schedule the clean for after the movers finish. Share the building name, unit number, front desk steps and visitor parking.
If you rent your unit, California Civil Code 1950.5 limits cleaning deductions to bringing it back to its cleanliness at the start of the tenancy, for tenancies after January 1, 2003. You can request an initial inspection no earlier than two weeks before move-out and book the clean after it.
Since April 1, 2025, landlords deducting for cleaning or repairs must photograph the unit after it is returned and again after the work, and send the photos with the itemized statement. LAHD says Los Angeles rentals, including condos, built on or before October 1, 1978 generally fall under the city's Rent Stabilization Ordinance.

- Make sure water and electricity are on.
- Share front desk, key fob or lockbox details, service elevator access and visitor parking.
- If you booked oven, fridge, cabinet or drawer interiors, empty them first.
If furniture or belongings are present, the service will default to a Deep Cleaning instead. Drawer interiors are not included in move-out cleaning and must be added on separately.
